Using data to connect science and industry

How can we identify research teams and connect their expertise with industry needs?

Miguel Guevara, from Universidad de Playa Ancha, will present ApiRipa and EqMetrics, two applications developed under FONDEF Technological Research Project 2024 IT24I0145. These tools aim to support the formation and characterization of research teams and facilitate their connections with companies and other organizations interested in open innovation, R&D, and collaboration with academia.

The talk will also explore research opportunities offered by data collected from Google Scholar, OpenAlex, ANID’s Researcher Portal, and INAPI.

Dr. Miguel Guevara is a faculty member at the School of Engineering, Universidad de Playa Ancha, and academic director of DatosLab. His research interests include scientometrics, data analysis and visualization, and complex networks.
