Polarization

Abstract: The study of polarization as a social phenomenon has inspired a rich literature on methods and socio-demographic features to characterize them. Although there are propositions to capture polarization in geographies, such as mapping inequality or rural population in territories, those alternatives lack the ability to represent variations of political polarization over time.
